Brazilian curator based in Glasgow
An enthusiast of non-hierarchical thinking, she believes in the equality of ideas and non-linear ways of composing and organizing them. Her professional experience extends from community-based museums to private collections. Still advocating for Art's emancipatory power, she has dedicated her career to take part in projects that could create dialogues between artists, institutions, and the community.
Interested in performance art as a form of critique, she works under an intersectional feminist framework. Her most recent research investigates strategies to decolonize the curatorial through Brazilian art practices.
Beatriz holds a BA (Hons) in Museum Studies and is currently undertaking a MA in Curatorial Practice focused in Contemporary Art.
